World Cosplay Summit 2015

A lot of people have been writing in telling me how much I suck in general and for not covering the World Cosplay Summit for a second year in a row. Luckily, a ton of other folks have put pictures on "twitter" and other sites.

You can obviously check out these other news sources, but I have found that you basically have to look at hundreds of cute/sexy girl pics before you find an actual cool costume. So if you want to see attractive women wearing next to nothing and trying to embody most men's fantasy, look elsewhere! It's time for the Times to give out some REAL awards!

Santaman

Here's Santaman in his classic "will he, won't he come out of the closet" pose. Enough kidding aside, it truly is a lovely costume. Also, below "Santaman" it says "Santamaria," so I guess that's the female equivalent. Or Santamaria could be Japanese for Mrs. Claus. You truly learn something new everyday!

Cat Woman

The only thing I find sexier than cats is not having to worry about looking a woman in the eyes.

Babe Alert

Something tells me there's a super cool dude who just loves being alive underneath this costume.

The Return of Hitler Jr.

Hitler Jr. was back and better than ever. By that I mean that he still walks like a T-rex. I guess he's from some anime called Eagle Talon wherein he attempts and fails to take over the world in each episode. He's not actually called Hitler Jr., but what else could he be? Maybe a nephew or grandchild.

Imagine the excitement of the crowd when the Tom Hanks made an appearance and made his patented "I'm an idiot" face.

Angel Warrior Lady

At first you think, "Ah, yeah, that's definitely the sexiest woman I've ever seen," but then you see the seductive way she walks because she can't seen through her mask...

and suddenly "sexiest woman in the history of the world" no longer does her beauty justice.

I'll bet you didn't even know you had a rabbit fetish.

World Cosplay Summit 2013

The WCS took place this weekend. Today in Osu there was a huge cosplay parade. I'll be sharing some photos of the event throughout the week. Here's a taste. First off, this dude was near the front of the parade, and he really got the crowd pumped up. I think he was the first person to completely stop the parade so he could do a bunch of cool poses.

Then he seemed to remember that he's horribly depressed...

What?! The depression was a total fake out! This dude was still on his game!

This dude rules.

Ultraman: A Modern Day Jesus/Santa?

For some reason the Japanese don't follow the tradition of forcing children to sit on a "magic" stranger's lap, but I did come across this Christmas Eve miracle. Ultraman made a visit to a toy store and allowed children to be photographed with him.

Nuclear Energy Protests

This is a picture of a protest in Sakae the other day. I'm glad that guy on the left decided to dress up like a giraffe. It just kind of sends the message, "This protest is for real! You can't just laugh it off! We have super well thought out ideas and... nice ties you fascists!"

The SoftBank Robot

SoftBank is a cell phone company in Japan. I'm unaware of the existence of a SoftBank robot, so either this guy is super into both SoftBank and robots that keep their mouths wide open, or SoftBank figured out a really bad way to get publicity.

Pretending to be Drunk

I don't think that's actually beer, but she does a good job of appearing drunk.

I like that the two drunk characters seem like the happiest people there.

Hitler Jr.

It's cute how he holds his arms just like his dad... Wait, maybe I'm thinking about a T-Rex.

Horse Soldier Man

The key is walking like a sleeping vampire.
